Maine ATV Disputes Prompt Study

AUGUSTA, Maine -- The thorny issue of all-terrain vehicle use on private land in Maine has prompted a study.

Gov. John Baldacci on Tuesday signed an order to create an 11-member working group including state fish and game and public safety officials, landowners and ATV associations.The order was issued two months after the Legislature failed to agree on a bill to tighten enforcement of all-terrain vehicles on private land.
