We all know these two activities go hand and hand. Maine ATV Clubs.com recently took time to go camping and riding in the central part of Maine. We decided last spring we would try out a campground we heard about through various sources. Being centrally located to some other activities we planed on attending in June we decided on the Balsam Woods Campground in Abbott. So we made reservations back in April for a week in June. We sure did pick the right place to work out of. These folks are definitely ATV friendly; they have services on site like a designated ATV parking area, pressure wash station, and gas for ATV’rs. Plus control over the fact that other campers, that aren’t so turned on by this activity, wouldn’t even know 50-60 atv’s are in the area. On a Friday night in June the parking lot for atv’s filled up fast. What a sight to see. We were taken back by the steady stream of units coming with campers, tents and ATV’s in tow. All in all what a right choice we made. The smell of fresh popcorn in the air on Saturday night was definitely a bonus. We won’t divulge what that was about. Check it out yourself, we guarantee you won’t be disappointed. Good luck to owners Matt & Jaime on their adventure. They are great host.
